How to Apply for Financial Assistance

Cold Capital Fund currently provides financial assistance to chemotherapy patients in the DC-Area (MD, VA, and DC) looking to use cold caps (manual or machine) to prevent hair loss. Because we are a small non-profit organization with limited funds available, we can only provide one-time assistance up to 50% of the costs (or a maximum of $1,000) incurred to use cold cap therapy.  

 

We will provide those funds after you complete your cold cap therapy only upon receipt of paid receipts/invoices. All paid receipts/invoices must be received by Cold Capital Fund not later than four (4) weeks after cold cap therapy completion in order for you to receive reimbursement; if we do not receive paid receipts/invoices in that timeframe, you will not be eligible for reimbursement.

In addition, to qualify for assistance, you will need to:

• Be a chemotherapy patient who has been diagnosed with a solid tumor cancer.

• Be a full-time US resident receiving treatment in a medical facility located in the United States.

• Not be receiving financial assistance for your cold cap therapy from any other source (e.g., insurance or grant) or organization (e.g., Hairtostay.org).

• Not have started your chemotherapy treatment prior to the time of your application for assistance from Cold Capital Fund.

To apply for funding, you will need to complete submit your application at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of your chemotherapy treatment
